Drugs whose main functions are to unblock water channels and seep out water and dampness, and are often used to treat the syndrome of internal water-dampness, are called medicines for diluting water and expelling dampness.

The diuretic and dampness-removing medicines are mainly used to treat various diseases caused by water-dampness such as edema, difficulty in urination, diarrhea, phlegm, stranguria, jaundice, eczema, vaginal discharge, dampness and warmth. Drugs for promoting diuresis and expelling dampness are easy to consume and damage body fluid. Diuretics

Shi Wei
It was first recorded in "Shen Nong's Materia Medica".
This product is the dried leaves of Lushan Shiwei, Shiwei or Stalked Shiwei, a plant of the Polypodiaceae family. Slight gas, slightly astringent and bitter taste. Thick ones are better. raw use.

This product has cold and cooling properties, clears the bladder and relieves stranguria, and can stop bleeding, especially suitable for bloody stranguria. It is also often used for those with wet and hot bladder who experience stranguria, astringency, pain, and stranguria during urination.
2. Breathing and coughing due to lung heat
Shiwei is slightly cold, enters the lung meridian, clears lung-heat, relieves cough and asthma. For lung heat cough and shortness of breath.
3. Blood heat bleeding
Shi Wei is slightly cold, has the function of cooling blood and hemostasis, and can be used alone or in combination with the syndrome to treat hematemesis, epistaxis, hematuria, and metrorrhagia caused by blood heat.
