[Chinese Medicine] learning experience(73) Danggui Sini Decoction
The notes I compiled are based on the textbook "Prescriptions" of the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and some prescriptions that I think are good. The prescriptions written are all my personal experience, and the analysis methods are mainly based on the six meridians and the viscera. I am not a medical professional, studying medicine is purely a hobby. It is normal if there are mistakes in the text.

(73) Angelica Sini Soup
[Source] "Treatise on Febrile Diseases"

【Category】Warming meridians and expelling cold

【Composition】Angelica Sanliang (9g), Guizhi peeled, Sanliang (9g), Peony Sanliang (9g), Asarum Sanliang (3g), Radix Glycyrrhiza, 22 (6g), Tongcao Erliang (6g) ), twenty-five jujubes (8 pieces)

[Usage] Shangqiwei, take eight liters of water, boil three liters, remove the water, serve warm for one liter, three times a day (modern usage: decoct in water).

[Function] Warming the meridian and expelling cold, nourishing blood and dredging the veins.

[Indications] Syndrome of blood deficiency and cold syndrome. Cold hands and feet, or pain in the waist, thighs, legs, feet, shoulders and arms, lack of thirst, pale tongue with white coating, deep thready or dying pulse.

The patient is blood deficient, so aconite and dried ginger are not used for fear of burning Yin and blood. Angelica and white peony tonify its blood deficiency. Guizhi and licorice are pungent and sweet to transform yang, while white peony root and licorice are sour and sweet to transform yin, making yin and yang self-sufficient. Jujube nourishes intestines and stomach body fluid. Danggui, Guizhi, Akebia, and Asarum travel through the meridians, warming and clearing the place where the cold is condensed. This prescription can treat both Shaoyin disease and Jueyin disease.

Tongcao in the Three Kingdoms period was not the current Tongcao, but the current Mutong.

This prescription is very effective in treating traumatic pain. I used this prescription to treat a fall, and it relieved the pain with one dose. It's also very good for chilblains, but I haven't tried it. In theory, I think it can also cure hypothermia, but I haven't tried it.

The prescription of Danggui Sini Decoction is as simple as a "1", and it can be said to be one of the simplest prescriptions in the entire "Treatise on Febrile Diseases". There is really nothing to talk about.
