Treating Pneumonia for My Father | Remedies for Life
When I was in Northeast China, every winter was a stressful day for me, because my father suffered from Parkinson's disease. When he got older, the polluted air and the cold climate made him prone to exogenous infections.

I remember that my father was rescued about twice in the winter of the previous year. One time he was almost critically ill. At that time, he was short of breath and his lips were purple and black. The nanny called an ambulance and went to the emergency room of the hospital for rescue.

This is all caused by pneumonia. I often go on business trips. When I hear such news, my scalp becomes numb. I hurried back and prescribed a prescription for him. Although the fever can quickly subside, I am still very worried because If I don't make it in time, I dare not think about the consequences.

So, I made up my mind to send my parents to Hainan for retirement in the winter, and it turned out to be very successful. In the pure air, my parents are in very good health, and my father has been there for two years without any problems at all.

However, when you are proud, something goes wrong.

This winter, the temperature difference in Hainan these days is particularly large, and it may be over 30 degrees during the day. The thermometer in my car sometimes shows 31 or 2 degrees outside the car, but in the early morning, the temperature is very low, only 17 or 8 degrees. The temperature difference reached more than ten degrees.

This kind of temperature difference is a bit like autumn in our north. If the clothes are not added or removed in time, problems will easily occur.

At the beginning of this time, it was the nanny who noticed that the father's voice was a little hoarse. Everyone thought it was wrong, so they took the temperature and found that they had already started to have a fever.

This is different from the exogenous infection that my father suffered from before. There was no runny nose, no sneezing and other warnings, and he immediately had a fever, and then his body temperature rose rapidly, quickly reaching more than 38 degrees.

So my family and I sent my father to the hospital for a routine blood test. The white blood cells were high, and a CT scan of his lungs confirmed that he had pneumonia.

The hospital said that in this case of pneumonia, many patients had no obvious external symptoms, and they had a fever directly, and then they came to check that they were pneumonia.

Because my father is eighty-one this year, I think guardianship is very important, so I arranged for my father to be hospitalized. The treatment plan is a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Western medicine uses intravenous antibiotics. I guess many friends will ask: Are you not a Chinese medicine practitioner? Why not use a pure Chinese medicine model for treatment? Do you have no confidence in Chinese medicine?

I have confidence in Chinese medicine, but my father is 81, and the elderly who are over 80 have to be prepared for every lung infection. Therefore, I think that if we want to win the battle, there is no harm in having the cooperation of Western medicine?

Moreover, a more important reason is: Parkinson’s pneumonia, in addition to external evil, has another cause, that is, such patients have neurotransmission problems, muscle movement disorders, and degeneration of swallowing function. Simply put, it is muscle I can't control it and want to swallow food, but the muscles in the throat can't move independently. As a result, the food will often be choked into the trachea, so that the food accumulates a lot, corrupts in the respiratory tract, and causes inflammation. This kind of pneumonia caused by food entering the respiratory tract is often the main reason for the final death of Parkinson's patients.

Therefore, the lung infection of Parkinson's patients is often caused by this reason, causing problems in the lungs, so that external pathogens invade. The combination of several reasons is more complicated, and it cannot be solved with a single idea of treating external pathogens .

At this point, it is necessary to remind the family members of patients with related diseases and pay attention to it. Many people who don't understand this problem often want to treat it with the idea of simply treating exogenous pathogenesis, but the result often delays things and eventually causes a greater crisis.

So some friends said that this is "winter does not hide essence, spring must be sick", and it is not good for northerners to live in Hainan! This is inappropriate. My father choked on eating a few days ago. This is an important underlying reason, and then the upper respiratory tract infection was caused by the cold. If I didn't live in the warm and pure Hainan, I don't know how many times this kind of pneumonia would have appeared.

At this time, it is very important to solve the problem quickly and seize the time to heal, because for the elderly at this age, the body is not healthy enough, and the disease will develop rapidly.

Moreover, Zhang Xichun, a famous doctor in the Republic of China, and such a big Chinese medicine practitioner often used western medicine like aspirin, without sectarianism. Why do we become more sectarian as the times develop?

In my eyes, Chinese medicine and Western medicine all relieve the pain of the patient, which requires cooperation rather than fighting.

So I chose to use western medicine antibiotics to fight against the enemy together.

As for Chinese medicine, I chose to use decoction.

The prescription of the decoction is Qianjin Reed Stem Decoction, plus Xiao Bupleurum Decoction.

I wrote about Qianjin Reed Stem Soup in the article. The ingredients are reed root, winter melon seeds, peach kernels, and coix seeds. This prescription is chosen for its effect of clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, expelling blood stasis and expulsion of pus, among which outward "expelling" is the key, so a medicine of Platycodon grandiflorum is added in it.

Because the father's body temperature is constantly fluctuating, which is a sign of alternating cold and heat, so Xiao Bupleurum soup was added.

In the recipe, I also added two medicines of honeysuckle and forsythia.

Because there is phlegm, add three sticks of fresh bamboo leek.

During the day, the drip is given, and the drip ends in the afternoon. In the evening, the fever was still there, and it was still on the rise. At this time, the decoction was caught and boiled, so I gave it to my father to drink it.

Then, start to take raw gypsum japonica rice soup.

When I talked about Zhang Xichun's medical records, I talked about this raw plaster a lot. Zhang Xichun used it to treat various heat poisons, and the effect was outstanding. In particular, he created the Raw Gypsum Japonica Rice Soup, which uses raw gypsum and the same amount of Japonica rice, that is, rice, to make soup. When the rice is cooked, it is ready. Drink this rice soup for patients, which can penetrate heat and dispel evil.
When talking about Baihu Decoction, Zhang Xichun was ingenious and used Chinese yam tablets instead of japonica rice, which he thought would have a better effect.

I am amazed by Zhang Xichun's replacement, this Chinese yam can greatly nourish the lungs, spleen and kidneys, and when used at this time, it can assist righteousness, and is even more beneficial for eliminating evils.

But the problem is: Huayam is not as viscous as rice porridge, and its medicinal properties may not be as strong. Therefore, this time, I used 60 grams of raw gypsum, mixed with the same amount of japonica rice, and the same amount of Huayam tablets. At the same time, Combine with 9 grams of Codonopsis pilosula (used in the previous Xiaochaihu soup, and add more here).

This is also Zhang Xichun's experience. When using raw gypsum, if people's righteousness is weak, especially the elderly, using raw gypsum alone will not be effective, and may even cause side effects. Problems, but also to assist righteousness.

Zhang Xichun used this raw gypsum, basically taking it frequently. After taking it, if the fever did not subside, he would continue to drink it, subside a little, and continue to drink it. I will be more cautious with my father, and let the nanny give him three bowls a day.

As a result, after drinking the traditional Chinese medicine soup for a while, I felt that the detoxification medicine had already entered the body, so I asked the nanny to give my father raw gypsum japonica rice soup. That night, my body temperature dropped to around 37 degrees.

The next afternoon, the body temperature returned to normal. The raw gypsum japonica rice soup is no longer taken, and the rest of the medicines continue.

On the third day, my father's body basically returned to normal, and his energy was almost the same as before. The medicine continued to prevent the residual evil, and at the same time, he added the medicine for strengthening the body.

The old man in the bed next to my father was from Xinjiang. He was 82 years old and was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia on the first day of the Lunar New Year. The father's treatment took only two days.

This time, my father's pneumonia was treated with the combination of Chinese and Western medicine, and the combination of Chinese and Western medicine had a very good effect.

I often think that if Chinese and Western medicine are not busy fighting and arguing with each other, but work together for the patient and use their own advantages on the same patient, then the patient's pain should go away faster.

What needs to be mentioned is that during my father's treatment, the doctors and nurses in the military hospital were very serious. The hospital was overcrowded and the medical workers were too busy. This kind of work intensity is unimaginable. Time, can understand him (her) a lot.
