TCM in the eyes of a nurse
TCM in the eyes of a nurse

I am a nursing undergraduate who graduated from a Chinese medicine school. To be honest, during the school, every time I listened to the "Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine" class, I would fall asleep because I couldn't understand it! Thinking about it now, if it was Dr. Luo, he would be able to speak this difficult and difficult ancient Chinese prose to the acme of perfection, humorous and witty. After the internship, I also worked in a third-class western hospital. Since then, I have nothing to do with Chinese medicine.

Later, when I came into contact with Chinese medicine, I accidentally saw a book called "Seeking Medicine is worse than Seeking Self" written by Zhongliba people. It explained self-care and disease treatment through acupoints in an easy-to-understand way, which made me feel that Chinese medicine can be so interesting. Later, by chance, I saw "The Growth of a Traditional Chinese Medicine" written by the owner of Ren Zhitang. The book tells the story of Chinese medicine between him and his great-grandfather. I have read almost all of his books, and he can be called a master of folk Chinese medicine. I am grateful for the rapid development of Internet information, and accidentally saw "Ancient Chinese Medicine" written by Dr. Luo on the Internet. It is humorous and tells the growth and learning process of ancient Chinese medicine masters in the form of novels. I am very shocked. Their dedication to medical research , I am ashamed of being considerate to patients, even at the expense of my own life.

Interest is the source of motivation for learning and practice. Although I am engaged in nursing work in a western hospital, because of my hobbies, I would think about how to diagnose and treat the disease, whether the recovery time is the same, dietary taboos, etc. if I were a Chinese medicine practitioner. As a nurse, in addition to carrying out doctor's orders, I also have health guidance. I will use my knowledge of Chinese medicine to explain to patients. For example, the elderly with yang deficiency and infirmity should eat less raw and cold fruits. Vitamins, all kinds of cold fruits are placed on the bedside table. At this time, I feel very helpless. Their ideas have penetrated into the bone marrow.

What is gratifying is that now the motherland has re-emphasized the development of TCM. As far as I know, almost every department in my hospital has issued an index task of inviting TCM consultations. If it is not completed, the performance will be deducted. It is enough to prove that the country attaches great importance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine, so that Western medicine can understand Chinese medicine. At the same time, many patients report that whenever they treat their appetite discomfort in the later stage, they will be greatly improved after taking Chinese medicine. , there is no doubt that the development of traditional Chinese medicine has penetrated into the western hospital, it is no longer a separate and isolated department before, and the doctors of western medicine have gradually accepted and recognized the magic of traditional Chinese medicine.

In addition to my job, I spend all my spare time learning Chinese medicine knowledge. Although it is relatively simple, it has also gained a lot. Every day I look forward to the content update of Dr. Luo’s official account. I am very happy. I am learning from Dr. Luo. My 3-year-old daughter’s fever and cough are all solved by me using children’s massage and garlic and ginger in the kitchen. The three fevers are one day each time I feel incredible that the fever subsides and heals. Seeing a child of the same age catch a cold and get infusion, I feel very fortunate that I will use what I have learned to reduce unnecessary pain for my baby. Unfortunately, I am not good at academics, so I dare not give advice to other people’s baby for fear of delaying the illness. For my own sciatica, I also got better with acupuncture and moxibustion. Occasionally, menstrual disorders caused by cold are also cured by moxibustion.

All in all, in the days to come, I hope that I will go further in the study of Chinese medicine, use simple and green Chinese medicine therapy, relieve pain for myself and those around me, and treat diseases rationally.

Finally, I wish Dr. Luo good health, and the TCM philosophy he spreads is like a bird flying into the homes of thousands of people, like a seed, taking root and sprouting in the hearts of thousands of Chinese people, looking forward to the arrival of an era of great TCM!
