Conditioning method for gastric ulcer deficiency and cold syndrome——Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction
I was giving lectures in various universities. One day, a teacher in the office of a certain university asked me for help, saying that her mother had a stomachache, and seeking medical treatment everywhere was ineffective. What should I do?

I happened to be there at the time, so I met with her and helped her analyze it. Her mother had had a stomachache for two months, and the stomach ached, regardless of the time. When I went to the hospital, Western medicine did not have any obvious effect, and the Chinese patent medicine I used was also ineffective. At that time, I saw that she was in low spirits. It happened to be winter at that time, and my pulse was stringy. I thought it was a great pressure. In Chinese medicine, this is called liver wood reversing the spleen and soil, and it was cold. People from the north can't stand the cold without heating in the south, so the stomach will appear. Symptoms of Deficiency and Cold.

At that time, I hesitated whether to soothe the liver or warm the stomach first, because there was a matter of priority, and the proportion had to be determined. In the end, I chose to advise her to take Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction, a classic prescription of traditional Chinese medicine, to give consideration to both.

As a result, her mother's stomach pain disappeared after a few days, and the feedback was good.

When I encounter stomach problems due to deficiency and cold, Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction is my first choice. This is my experience when I copied prescriptions from old Chinese doctors in Northeast China, especially for gastric ulcers. The effect is very good, so For so many years, I have helped some patients with gastric ulcer to recover their bodies. Here I will report my experience to you.

Our medical sage Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty, in "Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases", the first prescription is Guizhi Decoction. This prescription is very simple, it is Guizhi, peony, roasted licorice, ginger, and jujube.

I always want to tell you about this Guizhi Decoction, but I only talked a little bit about its effect on cold urticaria. In fact, if you want to talk about this Guizhi Decoction, you will talk about it a lot, because the meaning of this prescription is too deep.

Zhang Zhongjing used Guizhi Decoction to regulate the deficiency and cold syndrome of the exterior, that is, when the patient's righteousness is insufficient and the external cold invades, Guizhi Decoction has the effects of pungent and warm to relieve the exterior, relieve muscle expression, and reconcile the camp and health. At this time, the symptoms of the patient are headache and fever, sweating and aversion to wind, snoring and retching, white fur without thirst, floating slow or weak pulse.

We have always regarded this Guizhi Decoction as a prescription for warming the exterior and reconciling Yingwei. In fact, I have always believed that it is a channel for nourishing the spleen and stomach and dredging the Qi of Yingwei. , Wei comes out of the lower Jiao", which refers to the source and travel caliber of the yingwei qi. When the patient's spleen and stomach qi are insufficient, the yingwei qi will go wrong, so use Guizhi Decoction to activate the function of the spleen and stomach, making the Yingwei The channel of Qi is unblocked, which can resist external evils.

Guizhi Decoction is to invigorate the spleen and stomach, and dredge the passage of Yingwei Qi. This content is not the focus of today, so let's not talk about it. Zhang Zhongjing put this prescription in the position of the first prescription in "Treatise on Febrile Diseases". I think he has this idea: righteousness is the key, and only with righteousness can we get rid of evil.

In my practice, as long as I see a person with a cold, if he sweats when he moves, and he is afraid of the wind and cold, and his hands and feet feel cold, he should consider whether to use Guizhi Decoction. The effect is very good.

I have said before that Chinese medicine will build a building on a basic formula. Let's take a look at the building on Guizhi Decoction.

Zhang Zhongjing doubled the amount of peony in Guizhi Decoction and added caramel, which turned into a complete spleen and stomach prescription, called Xiaojianzhong Decoction.

The current dosage of Xiaojianzhong soup is generally:

9 grams of cinnamon sticks, 18 grams of white peony root, 6 grams of roasted licorice, 9 grams of ginger, 12 jujubes (break apart), 30 grams of caramel.

Xiaojianzhong Decoction has the functions of warming the middle and tonifying the deficiency, and soothing the interior. Treat the symptoms of asthenia, dysesthesia, abdominal pain, joyful warm pressing, pain relief, pale tongue with white coating, or palpitations in the heart, restlessness due to deficiency, restlessness, and dull complexion.

It is especially worth noting that while nourishing the spleen, Xiaojianzhong Decoction can also calm the liver and gallbladder, because cassia twigs can soothe the stagnation of the liver, and white peony root can soften the liver, which is equivalent to appease the liver and gallbladder, making the spleen and stomach uneasy. Annoyed by the rebellious spirit of liver and gallbladder, it was named "Jianzhong".

I believe that the origin of Xiaojianzhong soup should be very early. In the book "Fu Xing Jue", there is Dajianzhong Bupi Decoction, which is Xiaojianzhong soup plus beef. It is said in "Huangdi Neijing":

"Poison fights evil, five grains for nourishment, five fruits for help, five animals for benefit, five vegetables for supplement, and the smell is combined to take it to nourish lean energy."

We always thought it was a general reference, but in fact, this is the rule that guides the composition of prescriptions and medicines. For example, in this Bupi Decoction, cinnamon twigs, white peony root, and roasted licorice are the medicines. For the rest, caramel is the grain, jujube is the fruit, and beef is the animal. , Ginger is a dish. This is a certain specification of the earliest Chinese medicine prescriptions, and it is an application of the same origin of medicine and food.

On the basis of Xiaojianzhong Decoction, plus Astragalus, it becomes the Astragalus Jianzhong Decoction we are talking about. At this point the formula becomes:

6 grams of astragalus, 30 grams of maltose, 9 grams of cassia twigs, 18 grams of white peony, 6 grams of roasted licorice, 9 grams of ginger, and 12 jujubes (break apart).

The astragalus in the recipe is usually roasted astragalus, but I am used to using raw astragalus, which will not get angry.

This prescription treats the syndrome of asthenia and dysuria due to deficiency and cold in the middle Jiao. Symptoms include constant acute pain in the abdomen, warm and pressing sensations, lack of qi and laziness to speak; Dry throat, dry mouth, pale tongue with white fur, thready and stringy pulse.

The method of boiling the medicine is to boil the six medicines with five cups of water, and boil the remaining two cups, remove the medicine residues, add maltose, and put it on a low heat to dissolve. Take one cup in the morning and evening.

The purpose of this Astragalus Jianzhong Decoction Cube is "to relieve the urgent with sweetness, and to make up for the insufficiency with warmth." You Zaijing, a famous doctor in the Qing Dynasty, said in "The Heart of the Golden Chamber":

"Those who are anxious in the interior have a deficiency in the interior and have a rapid pulse, which should cause pain in the abdomen. Those who are deficient, the yin and yang channels are all deficient, and symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, wheezing, thirst, loss of sperm, and blood loss occur accordingly. Urgency If it is slowed down, it must be sweetened, if it is insufficient, it must be replenished with warmth, and to fill the void and fill the void, Huang Qi is especially good at it."

And "Synopsis of the Golden Chamber" says:

"This prescription is made from Xiaojianzhong Tang plus Astragalus. Astragalus is a product that invigorates qi and helps the weak. If you get maltose, it will be sweet and warm to benefit qi; if you get cinnamon sticks, you will warm yang to transform qi; if you get white peony root, it will also benefit qi and nutrition The effect of comprehensive prescription, its function of tonifying deficiency and replenishing qi is better than that of Xiaojianzhong Decoction.”

This prescription has a very good effect on men who are weak, lack of yang, and weak spleen and stomach. I have seen old Chinese medicine practitioners use it to recuperate men with insufficient righteousness and spontaneous sweating. After taking it for a long time, the physique improved completely. This is a case I saw when I was just learning Chinese medicine, so Jianzhong soup Fang, I have been paying attention to it.

Later, I learned that this prescription is very effective for the syndrome of spleen and stomach deficiency and cold, especially for gastric ulcers diagnosed by Western medicine. It is said that there are many causes of gastric ulcers, and taking some western medicines can also cause them. However, the gastric ulcers we see are often caused by high mental stress and improper diet. Often white-collar workers with high work pressure, eating irregularly, and often hungry and full, will have such problems, which are characterized by upper abdominal pain, mainly after meals. Western medicine examinations will reveal gastric ulcers . At this time, if symptoms of deficiency and cold appear, the tongue is pale, and the body is afraid of cold, you can consider using this prescription, because this prescription has the effect of softening the liver and soothing the liver. After nourishing the spleen and strengthening the spleen and stomach, it will also avoid the gram of liver wood.

If the liver qi is too uncomfortable, of course, you need to take some medicines to soothe the liver and regulate qi first, but for those with severe weakness of the spleen and stomach, and liver wood to suppress it, this prescription is suitable. In this case, usually three or five supplements of medicine can see obvious effects. If you have such problems, you can consult a nearby doctor to help you judge. I believe that many people will get rid of the torment of this disease.
