[Chinese Medicine] experience (28) Ji Chuan Jian

The notes I compiled are based on the textbook "Prescriptions" of the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and some prescriptions that I think are good. The prescriptions written are all my personal experience, and the analysis methods are mainly based on the six meridians and the viscera. I am not a medical professional, studying medicine is purely a hobby. It is normal if there are mistakes in the text.


(28) Jichuan Fried

【Category】Moisturizer

[Composition] Angelica three to five cents (9~15g), Achyranthes bidentata two cents (6g), cistanche wine washing, two to three cents (6~9g), Alisma alisma one and a half cents (4.5g), Cimicifuga five cents Up to seven cents or one penny (1.5~3g), one penny of Citrus aurantium (3g)

[Usage] One and a half cups of water, decoct for seven minutes, take before eating (modern usage: decoct in water).

【Function】Warming the kidney and benefiting the essence, moistening the intestines and laxative.

【Indications】Syndrome of kidney deficiency and constipation. Constipation, clear and long urine, cold waist and knees, pale tongue with white coating, deep and slow pulse.

This prescription can be called a special prescription for constipation of the kidney essence deficiency type in the elderly. Angelica nourishes blood and moistens intestines, treats constipation due to blood deficiency. Cistanche deserticola warms the yang and moistens the intestines, and treats constipation due to yang deficiency. Fructus aurantii lowers Qi to unblock the internal organs, and treat constipation due to qi stagnation. Cimicifuga promotes clearness, Alisma diarrhea reduces turbidity. Achyranthes bidentata leads various medicines downward. The whole prescription has ascending medicine and descending medicine, tonic medicine and laxative medicine, yin medicine and yang medicine, qi medicine and blood medicine, wide opening and closing, quite like Jingyue's military style.

Deficiency of kidney essence will lead to lack of energy. Clear and long urine and white fur means no heat, soreness and coldness in the waist and knees means kidney yang deficiency, pale tongue means anemia, deep and slow pulse means kidney yang deficiency. In a world of ice and snow, it is difficult for a boat to move. The disease involves deficiency, and the genus of Nihuang is used with caution, so the method of warming yang and moistening dryness is used, and the six meridians belong to Taiyin disease. For severe qi deficiency, ginseng and Atractylodes macrocephala can be added.

[Small knowledge] Zhang Jingyue is not a family doctor, he is a hereditary military general. After retiring from the army, he began to study Chinese medicine and became a great theorist and practitioner in the history of Chinese medicine.
