A few simple acupuncture points to help you get rid of hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are very distressing for many people, and they are an unspeakable secret. If you don’t pay attention to your diet, or you are busy working and sitting for a long time, hemorrhoids can easily be induced and make people restless. If you have hemorrhoids, you will be mentally stressed, and it will also affect your life and work, making you miserable.

Hemorrhoids is a common and frequently-occurring disease that affects both men and women, old and young. In ancient times, there was a saying that "9 out of 10 people have hemorrhoids." Hemorrhoids are most common in adults over the age of 20 and manifest under the submucosal membrane of the rectum and the anal canal. The venous plexus enlarges and forms a soft venous mass due to varicose veins. Depending on the location of the disease, it is divided into internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids.

Internal hemorrhoids are soft masses formed by anal pad displacement and pathological hypertrophy caused by the expansion of the vascular venous plexus, relaxation and rupture of the fibrous support structure; external hemorrhoids are soft masses raised by the dilation and inflammatory swelling of the perianal subcutaneous blood vessels. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the occurrence of hemorrhoids is mostly due to the deficiency of the viscera, and also due to sitting for a long time, traveling with heavy loads, or chronic constipation, or diarrhea for a long time, or squatting in the toilet for a long time, excessive consumption of spicy and mellow wine, resulting in visceral dysfunction. Imbalanced, wind-dampness, dryness and heat force the large intestine, blood stasis, turbid qi and stagnation persist, leading to hemorrhoids.

Moxibustion can help us treat hemorrhoids well. You can choose moxibustion at the following acupoints:

Erbai point

The Erbai point is a strange point outside the meridian. It is on the palm side of the forearm, 4 inches above the wrist crease, on both sides of the flexor carpi radialis tendon. There are two points on one side. Erbai can relieve pain, lift and sink, and is a special point for treating hemorrhoids.

Chengshan cave

At the lower end of the junction of the two muscle bellies of the gastrocnemius muscle, a sharp-angled depression appears under the gastrocnemius muscle belly when the calf is straightened or the heel is lifted. The Taiyang Meridian of Foot "takes the spine from the middle to the lower part, passes through the buttocks and enters the popliteus". Choosing Chengshan along the meridians can be used in conjunction with Erbai to treat hemorrhoids.

Geshu point

It is the Xuehui point of Bahui point, located in the middle of the back, below the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 inches to the side. Geshu is used for hemostasis.

Dachangshu

In the waist, below the spinous process of the fourth lumbar vertebra, 1.5 inches later. It has the effects of regulating qi and reducing adverse reactions, and harmonizing the stomach. Dachangshu can regulate the intestines and help the recovery of hemorrhoids.

How to operate:

Each acupoint is moxibustion for 15 to 20 minutes, once every 3 days, twice a week, and continuously for 4 weeks, a total of 8 times.

Moxa moxa is the main moxibustion material. It is burned and heated at acupuncture points or diseased areas on the body surface to treat diseases through its warmth and stimulating effects of drugs. And because moxibustion does not require piercing the skin or using special techniques, it is easy to operate, safe and effective.

The theoretical basis for the treatment of hemorrhoid pain at Erbai point comes from the "Bian Que Shen Ying Yulong Jing of Acupuncture and Moxibustion" in the Yuan Dynasty. "Medical Compendium" records:

"Erbai point is mainly used for bleeding from hemorrhoids, tenesmus, or itching or pain. Erbai is located four inches above the longitudinal creases on the back of the palm. The two points of the Hand Jueyin Meridian merge together. One point is in the two tendons, and the other point is outside the large tendons. "

Chengshan's treatment of hemorrhoids has also been recorded in ancient times, "Song of the Elbow":

"The five hemorrhoids are caused by hot blood, and Chengshan Xuxia has no trace of the disease."

Dachangshu is an acupoint on the bladder meridian. Used together, these acupoints can diuresis, dredge collaterals, remove blood stasis, relieve pain, and regulate the internal organs.

In addition, moxibustion on hemorrhoids can be used to treat hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids do not refer to specific acupoints, but patients with hemorrhoids will have red or purple petechiae on the waist. Moxibustion here also has a good effect. The specific method will be introduced to you as follows:

Treatment site: Look for petechiae between Shenshu point and Dachangshu point on the waist. They are usually red or purple, but they should be distinguished from red hemorrhoids on the skin. The darker the color, the more severe the hemorrhoids and the longer the course of the disease.

Methods: Three methods can be used: direct moxa stick moxibustion, ginger-partition moxibustion, and moxa stick suspension moxibustion. Direct moxa stick moxibustion usually takes 1 to 3 sticks per point, ginger-partitioned moxibustion usually takes 3 to 7 sticks, and moxa stick suspension moxibustion lasts for 10 to 15 minutes. Both treatments are once every three days, with a course of five treatments.

The "hemorrhoid point" of moxibustion is between Shenshu and Dachangshu, on the path of the bladder path. "Lingshu Jingbie" says: "The right side of the foot sun, don't enter the popliteal, and one of them goes down the buttocks. Five inches, do not enter the anus, belong to the bladder, and disperse the kidneys." Moxibustion at this point can warm and unblock the bladder qi and eliminate stasis. The kidney is the foundation of the innate body, and is related to the bladder from the outside to the inside. Moxibustion at this point is used to support the foundation of the innate body, which means to make up for acquired deficiencies.
