What should I do when hypoglycemia occurs?
Diabetic patients may develop hypoglycemia due to improper exercise, improper diet, or improper use of insulin. What protective measures should be taken when hypoglycemia occurs?

First monitor your blood sugar with a blood glucose meter. Consume some sugar, such as 3 sugar or glucose tablets, half a cup (120mL) of fruit juice, half a cup of soft drink (regular), 2 to 4 teaspoons of sugar or honey or syrup. Check your blood sugar again after 15 minutes. If you cannot check again or you still feel symptoms of hypoglycemia, take the above amount of sugar again. If your blood sugar is still low or you feel unwell, please see your doctor. If hypoglycemia occurs before the next meal or snack, eat immediately or add another meal to make up for the current hypoglycemia.
