Study: Honey saves diabetics from amputations
A research report by the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the United States pointed out that a layer of honey on infected and festered foot wounds of diabetic patients can avoid the need for amputation. (It directly states that Western medicine cannot effectively treat this condition, so we will find another method. Orthodox Chinese medicine does not use honey. We use sucrose powder for external application. I have used sucrose to treat many such patients. The effect It's so amazing that even the local Western doctors don't object.)
A medical school physician used honey to save six diabetic patients from amputation in a controlled trial, promoting the wide-ranging benefits of honey therapy. The method she uses is to first remove the dead skin tissue and bacteria on the wound, and then squeeze a thick layer of honey and apply it to the wound.
Eddy, a professor of medicine and public health at the University of Wisconsin, said honey contains acids that can kill bacteria while avoiding the complications of bacterial antibodies produced by standard antibiotics. (It is stated here that honey is acidic, while sucrose used in traditional Chinese medicine is alkaline, so I can be sure that the effect of using sucrose must be better than using honey.)
This is an incredibly important issue for global health care, she said.
Diabetic patients usually have poor blood circulation and poor ability to resist infection. Once there is ulceration, it is difficult to cure. According to Eddy, a patient is amputated every 30 seconds around the world. (This is a problem created by Western medicine factories. Chinese medicine will not require amputation to treat diabetes.)
She believes that if honey can be proven to promote the healing of diabetic festering wounds, many patients will have new hope, not to mention cost-effectiveness and bacterial antibodies.
Honey therapy has been used to treat bedsores in New Zealand and as an alternative medicine in Europe. (After all, Westerners did not expect that Chinese medicine has long known that sweetness can be used to astringe wounds, but they do not know that sucrose is better than honey.)
She hopes to publish the conclusions by 2008 or 2009 after the experiment on the efficacy of honey is completed.

Because I really can't find the time to write medical reports in the successor period, after I finish teaching the Golden Chamber, I will start to write a series of medical papers for doctors to study, and I will gradually withdraw from the front line in the future. The treatment will be done by my students, and I will start to write Ji Ji. Like the above treatment, I have used sweetness to help patients close their mouths. As for the real cause of plantar ulcers in diabetic patients, it is because patients have used it for a long time to lower blood sugar. Medications and insulin to control blood sugar are not caused by diabetes.
