Note: Do not use iodophor for disinfection, because insulin is a protein, and disinfection with iodophor can affect the activity of insulin.
Short-acting insulin (such as regular insulin, Novolin R, Humulin R, Gansulin R), and pre-insulin containing short-acting insulin (such as Novolin 30R, Novolin 50R, Humulin 30/70, Eulogin Milin 50/50) usually begins to take effect half an hour after injection. The hypoglycemic effect is strongest in 2 to 3 hours, and the effect can last for 6 to 8 hours. Therefore, these insulins need to be injected half an hour before meals and half an hour after meals. , so as to better stabilize blood sugar after meals and minimize the possibility of hypoglycemia.
Rapid-acting insulin (such as insulin aspart, insulin lispro), and premixed insulin analogues containing rapid-acting insulin (such as 30R insulin aspart, 50R insulin aspart, lispro 25R, lispro 50R), 5~ after injection It begins to take effect in 10 minutes, has the strongest hypoglycemic effect in 1 to 2 hours, and can last for 4 to 5 hours.
