How to use the insulin pen and precautions

Four, for premixed insulin needs to be fully mixed, the insulin pen is placed flat in the palm of your hand and rolled horizontally for 10 times, then clamp the insulin pen with both hands and swing it up and down through the elbow joint and forearm, so that the liquid in the bottle is fully mixed until the insulin is transformed into a homogeneous cloudy white liquid.
Fifth, install the needle for insulin pen correctly.
Exhaust the air inside the pen cartridge.
Seven, according to the dose knob to the required scale, according to the doctor's instructions to correctly check the injection dose of insulin.
Eight, check and sterilise the injection site.
Nine, inject. Determine whether to pinch the skin, choose the appropriate injection technique and needle angle, enter the needle quickly and inject the drug slowly.
When injecting insulin, check whether the insulin pen is normal, and exhaust before injection, rotate 1~2 units for, if there is no drug discharge after repeated operation, and the insulin pen rotating button is not pressed, you should first verify whether the needle is clogged or deformed due to repeated use of the needle, and then try to replace the needle.
